Focus on exercise, very little information on food

I received this as a free item from the author, I read it and tossed into the trash.
The book that appears to be mainly an advertisement for the Biggest Loser approach -- exercise, or as the author states "training", until you puke is the ONLY way to lose weight. Stop being the pathetic person you know that you are and tell yourself to keep moving, even with injuries. 90% of the book focus is on exercise and exercise techniques.
A slim few pages of the book is on nutrition. Yet the author states what you eat is very important for weight loss.. if that's the case why not dedicate more information on how to make healthy choices? Basic information on nutrition (fats, calories, carbohydrate, clean eating). One sentence on portion sizes being very very important for proper health, however there is NO information on what IS an appropriate portion size (beyond eat 3 meals and 2 snacks).
She claims we shouldn't bother to do yoga, walking, Pilates or stretching because walking or yoga won't help you lose weight. WHAT??!! No data to back up her advice.
Which begs the question.. who is the audience for this book? If the aim was to reach the average overweight consumer watching Biggest Loser on TV, you missed your demographic. Sure you will lose weight going to the gym six days a week , twice a day, to "train" for the next 12 weeks. For a person who really doesn't have a clue where to start, walking and learning to make healthier choices is an excellent place to jump into a "transformation". This book won't be that starting point for the majority of people who want to lose weight.

Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit

This book has it all put together in a much more appealing way than other books of it's kind. Michelle gives you straight answers, easy to follow instructions for the work-outs, and great recipes and menus to use. The book actually helps transform the Whole Person, not just the body. It is good medicine for the body, but also for the mind, soul, and spirit, with inspiring quotes, great things to think about, positive thinking, as well as reachable goals that help that much more as each one is accomplished. You can't do it on your own without lots of encouragement and excellent advice - and this book provides it.

The Only "Diet" Book you Will Ever Need- (written by my girlfriend)

I put "diet" in quotation marks as this book extends completely beyond diet, and encompasses every aspect needed for a successful and life-long body transformation. Think of this as your weight-loss bible, giving you diet, exercise, and most importantly mindset tips needed to change the way you think about getting healthy.
I'm no stranger to diet and weight loss books, DVDs, pills, etc. I've had countless trainers, belonged to endless gyms, and pushed myself hard in many ways to change my body for the better. Hearing about Michelle from my Aussie friends and thrilled for her American book debut- I had to snag a copy for myself right away. I plowed through the book in less than 24 hours, and am instilled with a renewed sense of determination and zeal to embark on my own weight-loss journey. Michelle introduces the most crucial and often overlooked part of any health plan, the mindset component. Michelle challenges you to dig deep and identify the root cause of your excuses; the roadblocks that are standing between you and success. These are obstacles that you have imparted upon yourself, and obstacles that only you have the power to remove.
Michelle teaches you how to remove these obstacles, putting you in the driver seat of your weight loss journey, and in turn, your life. This is a MUST HAVE for anyone looking to make long-term changes in their body and overall happiness.
