It was amazing. They'd driven for seven hours with nothing to say. But suddenly the words came easily. Jeremy couldn't believe how much they had in common. They both liked to ice-skate--but no more than one hour at a time. They loved rainy days in the spring and the zoo in the summer. They each had older siblings who drove them nuts. They liked the same movies--especially action films. Liv's mom bought her groceries at the store where Jeremy worked. And they both loved to hang out at the Erie Art Museum.
"Favorite food?" Liv asked.
"Pizza."
Liv nodded, taking a sip of water. "Correct. Color?"
"Green."
The answer is purple. But I'll let that one slip. Favorite class?"
"Study hall." They both laughed in unison.
It was wild. He'd never spent so much time with a girl without a break--but he didn't want one. There was so much to learn about her.
"This is something, huh?" Jeremy said. He couldn't believe he'd met a girl who liked so many of the same things he did. He'd never met anybody like her.
"Yeah." Liv took a sip of the Evian.
Jeremy studied her face for a moment. A drop of water lay on Liv's lower lip. She didn't seem to feel it. "Here," Jeremy said softly, leaning over. He reached up and gently brushed the droplet away...but his fingers lingered. Jeremy moved his finger along Liv's bottom lip. Then his body moved closer to hers.
Suddenly they were kissing.
>Liv's lips were soft and moist. Jeremy could feel the heat radiating from them. Tenderly he grazed her lips. He kissed her teasingly, playfully. Liv teased back. The kiss grew more and more intense. Jeremy's hands reached up and loosened her ponytail. A soft cascade of hair spilled out onto his fingers.
"Liv," he murmured, his hand moving down her back, pressing her even closer.
Without warning, Liv pulled away sharply. Her eyes were huge and wild.
"W-What are you doing?" She gasped, wiping the back of her hand roughly against her mouth.
Jeremy licked his lips. "I--I...," he stammered helplessly. "I don't know, I didn't mean to, I--"
"Don't you ever do that again!" Liv said, her voice shaking. She pulled the blanket that was covering her legs up tightly to her face. "What's wrong with you?" Then she turned her back on him.
Jeremy's heart was pounding with fear and with passion. Did he imagine it, or didn't she want to kiss him just as much as he wanted to kiss her? His hands shook slightly as he smoothed back his hair. What had he done?
A kiss like that couldn't be one-sided. It was too powerful. Too incredible. Too intense.
Too real.
Jeremy stared at Liv's back. She was coiled up as far away from him as possible.
She's Patrick's girlfriend. What have I done? he thought, his heart and his brain slamming into each other like some crazy dancers in a mosh pit.
The full force of what happened hit him.
It wasn't that he had just kissed his best friend's girlfriend. It was far worse--Jeremy had fallen for the one girl he couldn't have.

Yeah, good little read for all you love sick teens out there

I feel like such a dork reading Love Story books and usually they are quick little fun reads I can finish in a couple of hours. This book has a cliche plot but I really like it and it's my fave of the series so far. What I liked so much about it was how the author handled the emotions of all the characters. I like getting into everyone's head. The plot went at a good pace and the cliff hangers at the end of the chapters kept it moving. There weren't any easy decisions for the love triangle, but as usual, everything works out in the end. But could of used a cuter cover boy! :)

Here's what was so good about the book...the characters actually seem realistic and they have to struggle to do what's right! Jeremy doesn't expect to fall in love with Liv, his best friend, Patrick's girlfriend. But when he does, everything gets messed up and he might even lose his friendship with Patrick. You get to hear Jeremy and Liv's versions of what is happening between them...and believe me, it's interesting

This book is a real page turner. You can't put it down!

I thought this was a great book. It really shows how important a friendship is, but how once you find your soul mate you can't let them go.It has a great ending!Each character learns something from this novel and love teaches them all a valuable lesson!
